Originally from Waipawa, Hawkes Bay, Midge McCleary has spent the last 30 years developing his own unique style.

An engaging style of blues, funk, folk, jazz based on his percussive, fingerstyle guitar playing.

Projecting a big stomp box groove, overlaying jazzy vocals and guitar featuring alternate tunings, slapping basslines and arppegiated chord progressions.

Midge can be toe-tapping and upbeat one minute and then introspective and thought-provoking the next.
